I started working on my desk this week and it has been a lot more work than I thought it would be! I sanded the paint off of it for about 4 hours! It is pretty old and has a lot of damaged spots in the wood but oh well it adds character. After that I primed it and had to take a break but I really want to finish it on my next days off!
After sanding down the paint I found this stamp in the wood. My grandma bought this cabinet for my parents in the 70s , she had antique shops. No one really knows who painted it the awful green with pears but originally it was a plain wood radio cabinet. I tried to look up the company and couldn't find much info on it but it said they were made in the 1930s!
Just the primer color! It is really hard to paint in those little cubbies.
I love doing this stuff!
