So my post about missing my moms birthday was a decoy. I actually had made plans a week and a half before my moms bday weekend to fly down and surprise her. Very few people knew about it because it happened fast and I didn't want to tell too many people for fear of something going wrong. But nothing went wrong and we miraculously pulled it off!!!! This was he biggest surprise I have ever done and it was such a cool feeling!
Thanks to my dad, aunt and cousin for helping, my mom was so surprised and it is definitely something I will never forget!
The hardest part was figuring out how my dad was going to get out of the house to pick me up from the airport an hour and a half away. I came up with the idea to say he was going out on the casino boat which he used to always go out on. It goes out around 8 and doesn't come back until about midnight. Meanwhile I told my mom I was out to dinner with the girls and then going to A and B with Chad. All lies. :) She kept telling my cousin she was worried about my dad being on the boat and was happy I was going out somewhere close to home. So my dad get back from the "casino boat" and is counting his "winnings" and I sneak up and she is in the closet changing and I thought she was going to pee her pants!
