Trauma!

Last Wednesday I was in a car accident. It was my day off and I went up to Michigan to run some errands like I sometimes do. I was cruising along Riga Hwy and someone ran a stop sign right in front of me. I had absolutely no time to break so I hit them pretty hard. I didn't know until later that her car spun out and ended up in the really deep ditch along the road. When my car stopped it started smoking and I freaked out because I thought it was going to catch on fire and tried to open my door but it was jammed shut from her hitting me on that side. I was in full panic mode and forced it open. My whole body hurt and I had no idea if I was ok and didn't see a car anywhere so I thought she hit me and ran. I won't bore you with the rest of the details.

I've been telling the story all weekend so ask me if you want to know more.

I am very grateful that it seemed to be timed perfectly. If she had hit me any closer to my door I may not have been ok. So whenever I'm in pain I just think, it could have been so much worse!!!!

I went to the tow place to get my stuff out of my car and her car was there too. I hadn't seen it at all. It was so much worse than mine. My little PT tore it up. I still have no idea who she is or if she is ok since we both went off in ambulances and I never saw her once because she was in the ditch. It was all a big blur!

This was the scariest thing I've ever experienced ! I'm starting to enter the angry phase...

don't run stop signs and if you are dumb enough to, at least wear your seat belt!!!
