I have determined this to be one of the most beneficial, exhausting and crazy workout experiences one can have. Labor Day weekend I traveled to Bear Lake to stay with my friend Meaghan and her family at their lake house. It was beautiful and I never wanted to leave. Well at least not for a week or so. :) But really it was this weekend that I decided I must own a lake house one day and go mountain biking every weekend. My new friend Jen put it well. She said she wants to know a piece of land like this one day. Her dad took a few of us and he made it up the hills so fast he was a mile in front of us while we were walking our bikes up the hill behind him panting. We were in the middle of the woods and it was amazing how we never got lost and he knew exactly where we were going at all times. WOW was it hard. Dodging branches, peddling through sand patches, poison ivy! But I felt all my leg muscles were tighter with just one experience! And it was so much fun.
